Every Baby Sleeps Safe

The Every Baby Sleeps Safe Program is funded by the Ohio Department of Children and Youth.

Our agency partners with Clark County Health Department to provide free portable cribs to promote safe sleep in our county for those who qualify.

Eligibility Requirements for the program:

  • Must be at least 32 weeks pregnant

  • Have a baby under 1 year of age. 

  • Caregivers, including non-custodial grandparents.

  • Income <185% or enrolled in WIC/Medicaid.

  • One crib per child

    • Twins and multiples can receive one crib per child.

    *Foster families not eligible

Steps to get a portable crib:

  1. Watch the safe sleep videos.

  2. Complete the safe sleep forms.

  3. Contact the Champaign Health District to get crib (info below).

If you are enrolled in the Help Me Grow or Nurse Family Partnership program, your nurse may be able to deliver the crib to you.
