Registered Sanitarian/Sanitarian-in-Training
The Champaign Health District seeks an F/T Sanitarian-in-Training or Registered Sanitarian to work in the Environmental Health Division. This position is responsible for but not be limited to: food service operations and retail food establishments, vending, schools, camps, swimming pools and spas, body art establishments, jail, housing units, sewage treatment systems, private water/wells, water samples, solid waste disposal, construction and demolition debris landfills, refuse hauling and /or septage hauling vehicles, water hauling vehicles, vector control and rabies control; investigates foodborne or other illnesses and public health nuisances; collects water and effluent samples; performs routine tests according to established health district policy and procedures to enforce state and local laws, and rules and regulations.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must be able to communicate professionally and effectively both orally and in writing. BA/BS degree, Ohio driver license, and State of Ohio Registered Sanitarian license or requirements to apply for a State of Ohio Sanitarian-in-Training license required (as described in ORC 4736.08). Occasional weekend or evening work may be required.

CDC Healthy and Safe Swimming WEEK!
Healthy and Safe Swimming week is starting on May 20th and ending on May 26th. The CDC is hosting a Facebook LIVE on Monday the 20th at 11 AM. It will be filled with information to help keep swimmers safe and the opportunity to ask any questions you may have on this topic.
