Free Prevention and Early Detection of Colon Cancer Program to be hosted at Champaign County Health on Tuesday, March 28th 6-7 PM

Colon cancer is preventable, treatable and beatable … but it’s still the third most common cancer diagnosis and second leading cause of cancer death for men and women.

A free community education event on “Prevention and Early Detection of Colon Cancer” will be held Tuesday, March 28, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Champaign County Community Center Auditorium, 1512 South US Highway 68, Urbana, Ohio. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m.

Local Gastroenterologist Dr. Alan Gabbard will present valuable health information about colon cancer, screening recommendations, the colonoscopy procedure and more. There will be a Q&A session and one-on-one discussion will be available.

The event is offered by Champaign Health District, Springfield Regional Cancer Center and Springfield Regional Outpatient Center. A light meal will be provided. Please RSVP for this free presentation by March 24 at 937-523-8617.
