C.M.H. Program
The Children with Medical Handicaps program supports diagnostic and coordinated treatment services for children with special health care needs.
To qualify a child must:
Be under 22 years of age
Be an Ohio resident
Be under the care of CMH approved physician
Require diagnostic evaluation to rule out certain conditions
Have an eligible medical condition that requires further treatment
Be financially eligible for CMH to pay for treatment services
Eligible services may include:
Days in the hospital
Hearing Aids
Special shoes
Lab tests and X-rays
Physical, occupational, or speech therapy
Special diagnostic tests
Surgery and anesthesia
Prescription medications
Medical equipment and supplies
Eyeglasses/contact lenses when related to eligible diagnosis
